My Hair Care Essentials

This time around, I want to share with you the hair products I use most and rely on to get my hair lookin’ good. There are actually quite a few products and tools and even some I’ve left out. So here it is kittens, the things I rely on to get my locks looking their best.

Cake Satin Sugar Hair and Body Refreshing Powder… in other words, dry shampoo. I especially love this dry shampoo in particular because it smells amazing and comes in two colours – white for blondes and brown, for the rest of us. Oh, and it works like magic! I wash my hair 1-2 times a week, and this stuff keeps me fresh in between.

Bumble and Bumble Quenching ComplexMy hair stylist recommended this to me, because of my über dry ends! It works like magic because now my hair is hydrated and soft.

Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray – I love this hairspray for a few reasons. It smells fantastic, it is not tested on animals, and it has a nice, flexible hold

Brocata Maximum Hold Hairspray- I use this stuff when I need/want my hair to stay put. Its insane! I love it.

Living Proof StraightThis stuff is amazing. I only wish I had found it sooner. It’s a straightening spray…but it actually works. You can spray it on wet hair, then blow dry, or do like I do, spray it on dry hair before using the straight iron. It makes my hair so damn straight!

Rahua Shampoo and Conditioner I first used these when I got it in my Glymm Box. I loved them so much I bought  full-sized ones. They are fairly pricey, but they have lasted me months.

the little red circle is a shampoo bar from Lush

Mini Flat Iron-  I have a mini flat-iron that I use solely on my fringe; a smaller one is easier to work with

Rat Tailed Back Combing Comb- I back comb my hair every day- its pretty much a requirement. I use two different combs: a traditional barber style rat tailed comb and a boar bristle back combing comb. They function differently by providing different amounts of volume

I use a few different oils in my hair as well to add extra moisture. I use olive oil and coconut oil as masks, and Moroccan oil daily on both wet and dry hair.

I also use Lush Cosmetics shampoo and conditioner, as well as the Rahua. Lush is cruelty free and really natural ( not 100% though), and works great on my hair. I recommend checking out their shampoo bars.

When I want curls, I use, of course, a curling iron, and have only just started using hot rollers.

Thats about it gals. What products do you rely on to get your hair looking its best?
