As promised, today I have another piece of my personal vintage collection. Its one of my favorite pieces! A gorgeous liquor decanter set- a decanter, with matching glasses. I imagine coming home from a hard day at the type writer, sauntering over to my in-house bar, and pouring a stiff brandy from this baby. The set in a deep red, with a gold design; the decanter has a clear, glass round top you remove to pour the contents. I admit, I have not used this yet…but it’s only because it is so pretty and I do not have a lovely bar to keep on at. I fear it being broken, so its up high on a shelf, in a cabinet in the kitchen for safe keeping.
I’m thinking this set is from the late 60’s to mid 70’s. What do you think?
I found this set at the Old Strathcona Antique Mall. I can’t recall how much I paid for it, but I recall thinking it was good deal. If you really look, you can always find a good deal
I think I will have to go out and get some cherry whiskey or something and start using this set. It really is too nice to be sitting in a cabinet, don’t you think? I have a ton more to share with you, if ya’ll are enjoying these posts so far, let me know!
