Dark Knits Boutique Returns to RAW

I am so excited to have invited back to model for Dark Knits Boutique’s showcase at RAW this summer! Nikki, of Dark Knits, has cooked up one hell of a collection to show, entitled Divinity Anthology

12688278_10156536034145385_5060343704236566278_nThe new collection will feature stunning and intricate designs, spikes and straps, golden tones, and beautiful girls in divine corsets.

The event will include a ton of local talent – design, musical, artisans, painters, and more. This is a great event to support, as it directly supports local art. We need to nourish our community and support local artists and this is a great way to do it.

Tickets are only $20 for the evening of entertainment. Grab a few friends, make a night of it, and celebrate some of Edmonton’s local talent. July 14th, spend the evening with myself and a bundle of other babes outfitted in divine, custom built and sculpted designs

Behind the Scenes: The Give Em Hells Boys video

Like I had mentioned in my last post, I got to be apart of The Give Em Hell Boys music video for their song “Come Lately” from their CD Barn Burner (which you can find on itunes, CDbaby,Bandcamp. and local stores in town).  I was really excited to be asked to be an extra in the shoot, because, well, I’ve never been asked to do anything like this before. I also figured it would make for a good blog post! I was able to snap a few behind the scenes photos to share with you until the real thing is released.

It was shot in a wee studio downtown by Ryan Byrne and Be Nothing Productions. Over a course of six hours “Come Lately” was brought to life.

Oh yah, and don’t forget about the “cool” girls

Stay tuned for the release of “Come Lately”, which you bet I will be posting! In the meantime go buy The Give Em Hell Boys new album and follow us all on facebook and twitter.

what i wore: the give em hell boys music video

I was asked by the local band The Give Em Hell Boys to be in their music video and of course I said yes! I wanted to look sassy and it took me forever to decide what to wear. I was told to emulate Cry Baby or Grease… okay, I thought, I can do that. I wore my tightest, most sassy pencil skirt and knotted my favorite work shirt, put on my highest wedges and was all set. I put all the effort I could into perfecting some victory rolls and putting on false eyelashes; I swiped on some red lipstick and thick eyeliner and was pin-up perfect ( well, as perfect as I was gonna get).

Skirt: Miss Candyfloss Shirt: Liqour Brand from Rowena. Shoes: Aldo. Hair and Makeup by Me.

So, what do you think? Do I look like a music video babe?! Need a sassy kitten for your next video or photo shoot, well it just so happens that I’m available! Oh and make sure to come back for some behind the scene photos, band interview, and the final music video!
