The Wish List brings in tons of seasonal stock to suit the time of year, so right now, expect to see lots of sparkly and unqiue holiday ornaments. They also carry Thomas Sabo jewelry, which is very drool worthy, and Lora Zombie prints which I have three of myself!!  You will also find housewares like fun plates or glasses, snuggle teddy bears, home decor of all sorts, more glittering jewelry, and kick knacks! I love stopping in whenever I get a chance, to see Uma of course and whatever new fun things they have just got in, as they are always getting new stock!

This Downtown Abbey jewelry is so pretty! They are very vintage inspired, so naturally I am drawn to them! This collection includes bracelets, gorgeous earrings, brooches, hair clips and pins, and necklaces. All the pieces either come in a box or on a lovely card, so they make for a perfect gift! And they are so very reasonably priced, so you can get her something sparkly without breaking the bank!

20151214_190005 (2)Now, if you have a pretty penny or two to spare you might consider picking up a gemstone ring from Thomas Sabo. I love black stones and these beauties do not disappoint. And if you’d like something a little lighter, there are white and blue stones as well. These babies range from about $250 to $600 but are just divine!

20151214_190402 (2)Like I mentioned, The Wish List is known for their assortment of tree ornaments. They also have a great selection of retro ornaments, like Rudolph, Elvis, campers, and these Mickey and Minnie Mouse ones. Seriously, if anyone wants to know what to get me for Christmas, these are what I want! They are so much better in real life too…Mickey and Minnie on the tea cups – how perfect!! I was told these are not made anymore, so they are extra precious. They go for $34 and would make a lovely gift as a set.

feature: Jubly- Umph

While I was in Vegas in August checking out the trade show for work, we found a fantastic jewelry line- Jubly-Umph. I am so in love with this line! They make  retro tattoo-flash inspired designs, which are both super cool and super cute! The gal who runs and owns the company does all the artwork her self and it is all original!

1. Can you tell me a little about the history of Jubly-Umph? How it got started?

Jubly-Umph is the name I work under as an artist here in Melbourne, Australia. My brand, Jubly-Umph Originals, started in 2009 as a way for me to get my artwork to the masses and also create some cute and shiny stainless steel jewellery…I love jewellery.

2. What does Jubly-Umph mean? How did you come up with that name?

Jubly-Umph is completely made up but seems to accurately represent the fun and frivolous nature of my artwork.

3. Who does all the artwork?

I do! All my pieces are painted with a combination of watercolors, inks, paper and coffee and inspiration comes from my little obsessions such as books, tattoos, coffee, fairy tales and Victorian ephemera.

4. Do you have a favorite piece?

My current favorite piece is The Librarian because I am a huge bibliophile (book nerd) and am often found with dark circles under my eyes from staying up too late reading.

5. I met you at the trade show in Las Vegas and you were there all the way from Australia! Does this mean Jubly-Umph has made its way to North America? What does that mean for you and your company?

Yes, Jubly-Umph jewellery is now stocked in over 15 stores throughout North American which is very exciting. Our jewellery and art has been very well received in the USA and we cant wait to get back there again in February.

6. What kind of products does Jubly- Umph Originals make?

We make a range of stainless steel jewellery which comes packaged in cute gift tins, giclee art prints from my original paintings and  limited edition handbags and wallets. These are available from our online store http://www.jubly-umph.com/

7. What makes Jubly-Umph different from everyone else?

Jubly-Umph jewellery is unique because we focus on artwork and quality. All our artwork is completely original and not available anywhere else. All our jewellery is made from solid stainless steel coated in resin which is long lasting, waterproof and hypo allergenic. The designs are produced in short runs and limited editions making each one unique and quirky and resilient enough to hand down to your kids and grandkids

8. What does the future hold for Jubly-Umph?

Next year I am planning to hold my first solo exhibition here in Melbourne, Australia and hopefully complete and publish a book that I have been working on.

mermaid_copy_grandeI already have one gorgeous piece from Jubly- Umph and I can’t wait to get more!

Please check out the Jubly-Umph website to see what other goodies they have, including handbags, wallets and prints. And keep an eye out at your favorite rockabilly and pin up shop, you know the one, for Jubly-Umph this fall!
